This exciting event will bring together 13 exceptional pianists to showcase all 32 of Beethoven’s piano sonatas over 10 recitals. Through these recitals, we hope to present the genius of Beethoven, his change of musical styles in form and structure from the early to his later sonatas and how he challenged the pianos in his time which led to the evolution of our present day pianos. From October 2007 to March 2008 the renowned German photographer Peter Bialobrzeski travelled through South East Asia. He was invited by the Goethe-Institut to teach and work in Manila, Jakarta, Hanoi, Singapore, Bangkok and Kuala Lumpur.
During this time he conducted workshops and had an intensive cooperation and exchange with photographers from these countries. The outcome of their work is a colourful kaleidoscope of those six mega cities – which is as diverse as the cities themselves. The best pieces of work produced during these 6 workshops were selected to make up the exhibition “Mapping Invisible Cities”, which will now travel around the region.

"Puccini's final masterpiece evokes the grandeur and exoticism of ancient China on the operatic stage and takes the meaning of the grand opera to a new level. Directed by Lo King-man, the intrigue, love, passion and drama of the storyline are staged intricately into the sublime musical score and what results is the perfect art form of an opera stimulating the audio, visual and inner senses. This historical Singapore premier involves a stellar double-cast with Jessica Chen and Kim Young-Ae* as Turandot, Rachelle Gerodias* and Nancy Yuen as Liu and Lee Jae Wook and Tao Weilong* (*cast B) as Calaf, joined by a more than 130 member-strong chorus with the Philharmonic Orchestra conducted by Yeh Tsung. A once-in-a-lifetime stage spectacle not to missed".

An un-chronological look at the life of the Little Sparrow, Edith Piaf (1915 - 1963). Her mother is an alchoholic street singer, her father a circus performer, her paternal grandmother a madam. During childhood, she lives with each of them. At 20, she's a street singer discovered by a club owner who's soon murdered , coached by a musician who brings her to concert hall, then quickly becomes famous. Her constant companions soon prove to be alcohol and heartache. The tragedies of her love affair with Marcel Cerdan and the death of her only child belie the words of one of her signature songs, "Non, je ne regrette rien". The back and forth nature of the narrative suggest the patterns of memory and association.
